The practical problems facing Africa mostly has one of their roots from the African schooling system, a mark of colonialism and neo-colonialism. Africa, though vast and large with its wide natural, cultural and social diversity has its people still under-developed and mostly wallowing in poverty and misery. Prof. Asabere- Ameyaw, in his inaugural lecture, has called for an urgent need to review the educational systems in Africa so as to produce intellectuals, learners, and community workers who can think creatively, constructively and act in more critical ways to address the challenges facing the African continent. He call on all well meaning people not to be complacent but realize there is much work to be done. "We must nurture and hope for a better future by believing that everything is possible", he said.
